A modern retreat nestled in the hills above Florence
Located right above one of the vineyards, the Villa offers stunning views of the vineyard as well as the entire Valley of Ontignano. Surrounded by vines, olive trees, and the forest behind, the Villa is an independent country home, recently restored with all the modern comforts, whilst artfully decorated respecting the Tuscan traditions and style.
The five bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, the spacious kitchen with a well-stocked wine cellar, the beautiful outdoor loggia offering freshness during the hot afternoon hours, and the infinity pool, all make this farmhouse the perfect retreat for friends and family.
Beautifully furnished and decorated, the Villa, its surrounding garden, poolside area, bocce court, and cozy side terraces, offer the perfect setting to relax and soak in the peace and beauty of this magical site.
Common Areas
When arriving at the Villa, guests are greeted by a beautiful Loggia, a nice open outdoor space, with an eating and lounging area. Inside the house, the ground floor opens up to a spacious modern kitchen, with its very own Pizza oven, well-stocked wine cellar, and central island with plenty of space to enjoy cooking. The Kitchen and the dining area form a large open space leading to the living room/cinema room and the upstairs area.
The first floor opens onto a central common area, with a gigantic wall-to-wall library, office area, and all the bedrooms, each named after one of our wines.

Rooms
The five bedrooms, conveniently named after our wines, are:
- The Paonazzo room – the master bedroom
- The Gigiò room - with its own private outside terrace
- The Gigino room – the middle room, straight over the vineyard
- The Gigetto room - the corner room, vineyard and neighborhood
- The Pinko Pallino room - the side/back room looking out to the forest
All bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom, with showers, wash basins, warm radiators for the towels, WCs, hair blow dryers, soaps and beauty products all derived from local products (olives, flowers, and plants).
The ceilings, all recently restored, showcase wooden beams and a terra cotta roof. Parquet floors with floor heating for the cooler months, and a cooling feel in the hotter months provide an environment of just the right temperature no matter what the season. Air conditioning is also available throughout the house, especially for the hot summer months.
Finally, all bedrooms provide deliciously comfortable and cosy beds and bedding, furniture and decoration to make everyone feel right at home and enjoy a well deserved retreat!
Pool and Grounds
The 20+ meter infinity pool hangs right over the vineyard, offering an almost immersive experience while bathing in the fresh cool water. A separate area of the pool allows bathers to simply sit in the shallows thus enjoying the sun yet remaining wet and able to cool off as needed. Around the pool, various lounge chairs and pool furniture provide sunbathing spots or shade to simply enjoy the panorama.
Different terraces around the villa provide different spaces and lounge areas to relax, enjoy the views, read a good book, or sip a glass of wine.
And on one of the terraces up top, a wonderful Bocce court provides a fun aperitivo entertainment opportunity. Nothing like playing Bocce while enjoying sipping on an evening cocktail or fresh cool bubbles!
Last but not least, a full-sized clay tennis court sits a little further away from the villa, in between the two vineyards.
And for those guests who love to stay in shape, a gym facility resides in one of the annexes, off to the side of the Villa.

Sitting right at the doorstep of the city of Florence, there is so much that guests may enjoy in the surrounding areas if they choose. Though of course, we are partial to simply enjoying the beauty and the nature of our peaceful magical retreat here at Poggio La Noce.
So if the urge to see what the area has to offer strikes you, here are some of the highlights:
- A visit to the historical center of Florence is a must. The city is a living museum all onto itself, with everything, churches, museums, shopping, eateries, and wine bars, it has it all.
- Fiesole is also a charming town perched over Florence, with vast views of Florence below, especially striking at sunset! It boasts several museums and an amphitheater.
- Nature trails behind the Villa, for amazing hiking or mountain biking
- Shopping for the fashion savvy at the Outlets at Pontasieve/Val d’Arno
