Terms and Conditions for Villa Rental

1. Reservations

• To confirm reservation, a downpayment of 40% of the price of the reservation is due upon confirmation. 
   
  Confirmation can be made directly online from our website via credit card processing. 
  Clicking the “I Agree” button will confirm the booking. 
   
• The next payment, second payment and remittance of the full reservation amount will be due two months (eight weeks) prior of arrival. 
   
• Local Taxes will be included in the remittance amount according to local regulations. 
   
• Identity documents will also be required at check-in accordance to local law. Upon reservation, we will ask for the lists of the guests planning to stay.

2. Cancellation Policy

• The initial downpayment of 40% is non refundable. Thus guest may cancel up to two months prior to their arrival and not be asked to pay the remittance. Should guests cancel within the 8 weeks’ time frame before their scheduled arrival, the full price of the booking will be charged.

3. Security Deposit

• A security deposit of 8% of the reservation amount will be charged upon arrival at check-in.  The security deposit will be refunded at check-out or 7 days post departure.

4. Check-in and Check-out 

• Check-in is available after 2pm on arrival date, and check-out is required by no later than 11 am on the date of departure. 

5. Additional options and services

• The end of stay Cleaning service is included with the reservation.  Optional cleaning service can be requested if you would prefer a daily clean, or a mid-week clean (for stays longer than 3 days), for an additional fee.
   
• All guests are invited to a free winery visit and wine tasting as part of their stay.  At check-in we will ask you to confirm which day and time will suit you. 
   
• A welcome basket will be present to greet the guests upon arrival, including a bottle of wine.  In addition, the wine cooler in the kitchen will contain an assortment of wines from the Poggio La Noce winery.  Whatever the guests choose to drink during their stay will be added to their bill for remittance on departure day. 
   
• Pets are welcome though an additional fee will be charged. 
   
• The standard reservation is for self-catered villa rental. However should you wish to have some catered meals at the Villa, we will be happy to make such arrangements for an additional fee. 
   
• Transfer service from the airport or train station to the Villa can be made upon request for an additional fee.  
   
• The winery Defender can be made available to drive you down to the entrance of the city of Florence. Please note that nonresident vehicles are not allowed to drive into the city. The request for passage will need to be made in advance and for a minimal fee, upon request.
   
• A Yoga instructor can be booked at your request for an additional fee. 
   
• Arrangements for tours of the city with a guide can be booked too. 
   
• Electric bicycles can be reserved and brought to the villa upon request and for a fee. 

6. Insurance for Travel and Health  

• We recommend that guests subscribe to their own travel insurance.  We also recommend that guests subscribe to medical insurance to assist during the stay in case of any potential issues which might arise.

• Guests are entirely responsible for their use of the facilities, Poggio La Noce will hold no responsibility for any accidents which might occur from guests using any of the facilities provided.

House Rules :

• The Villa has been rented for a maximum of 10 people. Exceeding that number is not permitted.  Please contact us if you require more capacity. 
• Smoking is not permitted at the Villa. Smoking can take place in all outdoor spaces. 
• We ask that guests treat the villa with all the care with which they treat their own homes. 
• We ask that guests respect the local traditional of a “quiet” time in the early afternoon after lunch time.
• We ask that guests kindly refrain from playing loud music outdoors as sounds carry across the valley.
• We provide a house book which will include many instructions as to how to operate the various equipment in the house, plus many details of how to get around, suggestions for activities in the area, important phone numbers in case of emergency and many other useful tidbits.  Please don’t hesitate to consult it.
