The nose begins with a folksy whisper of vanilla and cedar, but immediately darkens to a forest full of crushed dark berries, fresh earth, spices, tar and stones. The berries blaze on the palate, but an enduring earthiness, fierce tannins and bright acid keep the sweetness in check.
Gigiò
The flagship. The first-born. A defiance of the ordinary. Gigiò is not just a Chianti;it is a statement of what the limestone clay hills of Fiesolecan achieve when pushed to the absolute limit.Born from the estate’s oldest, rockiest blocks, this is Sangiovese re-imagined with the density, polish, and architectural precision of a modern masterpiece.

The nose is hedonistic and expansive. It begins with the signature Fiesole perfume—wild lavender and crushed violets—before descending into a dark abyss of fruit: black plum, crème de cassis, and off-the-vine blackberry. As it opens, the French oak asserts itself, offering seductive layers of cedar and smoke, all lifted by a streak of graphite minerality
Palate
On the palate, Gigiò is seamless. It enters with a “succulence” that is rare in Tuscany—a fleshy, velvety attack that coats the mouth. The mid-palate is dominated by the savory, inky depth of the Colorino grape, adding weight and shadow to the bright red acidity of the Sangiovese. The tannins are present but polished to a fine sheen, resembling the texture of crushed velvet. The finish is eternal, lingering with notes of dark chocolate, wet stone, and a final kiss of toasted oak.
